Beach House with Statice

Actually across Carlsbad Blvd. from a bluff above the beach, but close enough for me. I liked the geometricalness and perspectivity of the scene, as well as the luminesciference of the light. Oddly, the most difficult part to paint was the rocks. Oil on panel,1991. About 30"X40" or so
